Retreat to the quiet of the Western Lakes
Wednesday Feb 4th 2003. Loweswater.
A perfect winter's day with snow and a deep frost the night before.
The winter trees are bare and this gives us a view of the whole valley.
Afternoon sun on Whiteless, with deep shaddow in the Buttermere valley.
Gable illuminated by bright afternooon sun, flooding up Ennerdale.
whilst Grasmoor catches the sun from above the Loweswater Fells.
Sun-bathing Holly style. She spent about four hours outside in the calm afternoon air.
Blue Skies were the order of the day, so no wonder.
