The sunny weather continues but it is a working day for Roger. Consequently it was a girls-only trip up one of our local fells in order to enjoy the views and exercise the dogs this sunny Sunday. The garden was very tempting today ! So after a morning spent chatting over coffee, and then eating lunch in the garden, we set off via the Mosser track to climb up nearby Darling Fell.
The ascent is a steep one ! The summit attained, but the day is warm and hazy. The beautiful views are just misty outlines, so limited photography I'm afraid. Anne and Jo with four of the dogs - Harry, Polly, Amber and Jodie. Mellbreak directly behind with Crummock to the left. Turning left after leaving the summit, we make our way along the fell side and down to the quarry track. Loweswater is the lake ahead. The gateway to the Mosser track. Jo admires the view. From here it is a short way down to the lakeside road. Back to the cottage for tea and scones in the garden . . . it's a tough life ! - - - o o o - - - |
